AMD’s official website has launched a new U in a low-key manner, the model Ryzen 9 PRO 5945. From the name, it can be seen that it is aimed at the commercial machine field and will not be retailed. This is also the first Ryzen 9 of the Ryzen PRO 5000 series. In terms of specifications, the Ryzen 9 PRO 5945 is still based on the Zen3 architecture, with 12 cores and 24 threads, 6MB of L2 cache, 64MB of L3 cache, a base frequency of 3.0GHz, a maximum acceleration frequency of 4.7GHz, and a thermal design power consumption of 65W.
Compared with the existing products, it is actually the Ryzen 9 5900 in the OEM field. The specifications are exactly the same. Of course, as the PRO commercial version, some management and security technologies will be added.
At the same time, they can also be regarded as the reduced frequency and power consumption version of the Ryzen 9 5900X, the latter frequency is 3.7-4.8GHz, the thermal design power consumption is 105W, and it also supports overclocking.
The reference frequency is reduced by 700MHz, and the acceleration frequency is reduced by 100MHz, and the power consumption is reduced by half, which is still possible.
I haven’t seen a commercial machine with the Ryzen 9 PRO 5945 yet, but the products in this market have a long lifespan.
