In April this year, AMD R7 5800X3D processor listed, with 100MB of super L2 + L3 cache, the country’s first 3099 yuan.
According to WccfTech, AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7000 processor also has a 3D cache model, and some news about this processor has already flowed.
According to the news, the 3D cache model CPU cores of the Ryzen 7000 are 5nm process, but the 3D cache uses TSMC’s 7nm or 6nm process; the capacity is the same as the previous generation, still 64MB, but the technology has been upgraded to the second generation.
In addition, the CPU of the 3D cache model of the Ryzen 7000 will not be significantly lower in frequency like the R7 5800X3D, but its frequency will still be slightly lower than that of the regular model.
In terms of performance, the 3D cache model of the Ryzen 7000 is expected to deliver up to 30% performance improvement compared to the regular model with the same core count. By comparison, the older R7 5800X3D’s gaming performance can be improved by an average of 15% at high 1080P settings.
According to the news, the 3D cache models of the Ryzen 7000 will include the R7 7800X3D and possibly the R7 7950X3D, which is expected to be released at the end of this year and launched in the first half of next year.
The approximate parameters of AMD’s Razorback 7000 debut lineup have been revealed, which lacks the R7 7800X model, and AMD is expected to make it directly into the R7 7800X3D model.
