The AMD R7 7800X3D processor, which will be available on April 6, is an 8-core Zen4 desktop processor with 3D V-Cache and is the lowest model in the new product line.

The processor is now available on SiSoftware’s website, revealing early test performance.

Looking at the aggregated scores, the AMD R7 7800X3D is 37.3% faster than the previous generation R7 5800X3D Zen3 processor. According to the official ranking, the 395 GOPS score is right in between the R7 7700X and 7700 (both 8-core Zen4 desktop processors).

AMD has chosen to add a layer of 3D V-Cache to only one core, meaning that the R9 7950X3D and 7900X3D have different core designs. However, AMD proposes a software solution that prioritizes frequency or cache. the AMD R7 7800X3D does not require such an algorithm, so there will be a difference in performance.

And according to AMD’s official figures, the R7 7800X3D is 13% – 24% ahead of the i9-13900K and 21% – 30% ahead of the R7 5800X3D in four games.

The AMD R7 7800X3D is an 8-core, 16-thread processor with a frequency of up to 5.0GHz, 96MB of Level 3 cache, and a 120W TDP. The processor is priced at $449 (currently about RMB 3,094) and will go on sale on April 6.
