As an amazing second-hand trading site, hardware enthusiasts can always fish for some curious hardware through the Idlefish platform, such as sneak peeks of early engineering sample (ES) chips. As evidenced by a link shared by @9550pro on Twitter, someone recently posted spy shots of the upcoming AMD Zen 4 Raider R5-7600X ES processor on Little Yellow Fish.
The seller claims that the ES version of the R5-7600X processor has a base frequency of 4.4 GHz (4.7 GHz for the retail SKU) and an OPN code of “100-000000593-20”.
The production batch revealed on the top cover is the 17th week of 2022 (around early May 2022), but this early sample may have some problems, and the seller admits that the price tag of $9,999 is just for people to look at and enjoy.
WCCFTech adds that the R5-7600X, the first entry SKU in the Zen 4 Riptide 7000 family, features a 6C/12T design, 6MB L2 + 32MB L3 cache, and a base frequency of 4.7 GHz / up to 5.3 GHz on a single core.
However, the TDP power consumption of this generation R5-7600X has also increased from 65W of R5-5600X to 105W (PPT power consumption 142W), which is obviously the necessary price to pay for higher clock frequency.

Last but not least, as the first release of the AM5 (LGA 1718) platform, the Ryzen 7000 series desktop CPUs will need to be paired with a 600 series chipset motherboard. If you are interested, you can wait until September 15 to get your hands on one of the first ones after the ban is lifted.
