AMD announced a new product line for notebook computers at the CES 2023 exhibition, including the first batch of mobile RDNA3 graphics cards and the first batch of Zen4 processors. Additionally, the company showed off Ryzen 7000 desktop CPUs including the much-anticipated 3D V-Cache models.
AMD did not update its desktop GPU product line at CES 2023, so the Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics cards are currently the main focus. In the latest updated official slides, AMD calls the RX 7900XT the “fastest GPU in the $900 price range” and the RX 7900XTX the “fastest GPU in the $1,000 price range.”
According to independent testing, the Radeon RX 7900 XT is indeed faster than the 4070 Ti, which is not surprising considering that it has 8GB more video memory and a 67% larger memory bus. However, the gap is relatively small, fluctuating between 4% and 10% depending on the resolution. Also, since the Radeon GPU costs $100 more, the difference is even smaller when you factor in the price per dollar.
