AMD certified a total of seven brand new “D707” GPU graphics boards at RRA in South Korea, which points to more RDNA 3 graphics cards to come. Twitter leaker harukaze5719 posted new information about RRA’s board certification. It mentions that there are currently seven different board models observed, two of which have already been released.
The document is published by the Korean National Radio Research Institute, but the manufacturer is listed as “ATI TECHNOLOGIES ULC”. Most likely in order to delay public notification of the discovery, AMD acquired ATI Technologies more than 20 years ago.
The model numbers listed on the new RRA are shown in the screenshot below:
"Two model numbers have been confirmed, the D702 and D704, to be the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and Radeon RX 7900 XT respectively. AMD hasn't confirmed anything new, so we can only guess at the rest of the models."
Considering that there are seven graphics board IDs, these may be brand new RDNA 3 products. So far, AMD has only launched its high-end Navi 31 GPU, which means that desktop users will see Navi 32 and Navi 33 products later this year. While AMD didn’t confirm any new variants beyond the laptop lineup utilizing the Navi 33 SKU, it’s possible we could get a range of GPUs in the RX 7800, RX 7700, and RX 7600 models.
New laptops based on AMD’s new graphics chips will be released soon, and they will take advantage of the Radeon RX 7600 and 7700 GPUs, corresponding to the Navi 33 GPU. It is also possible that one of the models listed may be for a mobile platform or an enterprise model. Now AMD really needs to provide some new cards in the mainstream field, because the RTX 40 series of the biggest rival NVIDIA is getting better and better.
