OPPO Reno8 series of smartphones is reportedly in the works. Today, a device with model number PGAM10 received approval from the 3C authorities of China. Earlier this month, reliable tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that the OPPO PGAM10 would be debuting with the OPPO Reno8 moniker in China. A live shot of the device has also appeared today apart from its 3C listing.

OPPO Reno8 3C certification

The OPPO Reno8 3C listing reveals that its retail package may include a charger with VCB8JBCH / VCB8JACH model number. It supports charging at a maximum rate of 11V / 7.3A. This indicates that the device may carry support for 80W rapid charging.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has also shared a live shot of what appears to be an OPPO phone powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 7-series chipset, which could be called the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. The leaker has previously claimed that the Reno8 would be the first smartphone to feature the SD7G1 SoC. Hence, in all likelihood, the live shot belongs to the OPPO Reno8.

The handset can be seen sporting a punch-hole display with super-slim bezels. As can be seen in the image, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm chip, which includes 4 Cortex-A710 CPU cores working at 2.36GHz and 4 Cortex-A510 CPU cores clocking at 1.8GHz. The SoC also includes an Adreno 662 GPU.

Past reports have revealed the SD7G1 powered Reno8 will arrive with a 6.5-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, LPPDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. For photography, it will feature a 32MP front camera, and a 50MP (Sony IMX766) + 8MP + 2MP triple camera unit.
