Alibaba Cloud announces largest price cut in history: core products drop by up to 50%

This morning AliCloud announced the largest price cut in its history, with core product prices slashed by 15% to 50%across the board and storage products reduced by up to 50%.

Ali Cloud said that as the number one cloud computing vendor in China and one of the top three in the world, the price cut will further expand the user base and scale of the public cloud and increase the market penetration of cloud computing.

At the Ali Cloud Summit on April 11, Ali Cloud announced two main actions: first, the launch of the Tong Yi Qian Qiu big model, Ali’s future will be all products access Tong Yi Qian Qiu for a comprehensive transformation; second, carry out the most significant price cut ever, general-purpose computing will be significantly reduced, compared to the previous generation of the main sale of products up to 40%. Ali Cloud will also open up free trials of core products such as compute storage, database and machine learning.

AliCloud’s full-year revenue in 2022 will be RMB77.59 billion, up 7.0% year-on-year from 2021. Adjusted EBITA profit of RMB 1.31 billion and an adjusted EBITA margin of 3.0%.
