Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda said that he is one of the silent majority in the auto industry who questions whether it should only pursue electric vehicles.
With so many automakers investing heavily in electric vehicles right now, the transition to the EV era appears to be a certainty. But during a visit to Thailand, Toyoda appeared to lament the industry’s focus on the future of electric vehicles.
“The participants in the auto industry are basically the silent majority.” Akio Toyoda told reporters: “These most people are thinking, is it really okay to go all-in on electric vehicles? But they feel that this is the general trend, so Can’t say it out loud.”
