The rear-drive standard model of the AITO M5 was officially launched on April 20th with a price of 259,800 yuan (~$39,259). Due to the price increase of raw materials, the AITO auto officials have issued an announcement, stating the price of the M5 four-wheel-drive version of the inquisitive M5 will be adjusted accordingly at 24.00 hours on May 5, 2022.
According to the AITO auto official website, a price adjustment will take place for the four-wheel-drive version of the M5. The changes will be effective starting May 6, 2022. The customers who had booked it before May 6th won’t have to deal with the price change.
According to the reports, the price of the four-wheel-drive performance has been hiked by 15,000 yuan (~$2,266), making the starting price 294,800 yuan (~$44,547). The price of the four-wheel-drive flagship has been hiked by 12,000 yuan (~$1,813), making the starting price 331,800 yuan (~$50,140). The price of the best version of the four-wheel-drive hasn’t changed.

According to a review, the new car uses the xtender hybrid system. The car uses a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder engine that generates maximum power of 92 kW. The front axel motor is rated at 165 kW and the rear axel motor is rated at 150 kW.
The capacity of the car battery is 40 kWh and the fuel consumption is 0.8/100 km under WLTC cycles. The comprehensive cruising range of the car is more than 1,000 km. The company has released an official acceleration time, which is 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.
At the moment, the M5 is a hot purchase. 3045 units in March and 3439 units of the XILIS (another version of M5) have already been sold. There’s an increase of 1248.63% year-on-year. But the production capacity of Xiaokang shares has been very limited, with only 3125 units being produced.
