We are getting constant updates and improvements in our health tracking features. Every year we see contact evaluation in the technology. We have now got a piece of information to share regarding the presence of health-tracking sensors/features on the forthcoming Apple AirPods Pro 2. Along these, we have also got some words to share regarding the Apple Watch Series 8.

Apple AirPods Pro 2 to feature a heart rate sensor?

According to a recent rumour, the upcoming Apple AirPods Pro 2 will include heart rate and body temperature monitoring sensors. In response to these claims, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman claims that Apple has begun testing these sensors on early prototype units of the Apple AirPods. However, he adds that the technology is still a long way from being available in consumer products, and will most likely not be available in the 2022 version.

Gurman also stated in the same report that the upcoming Apple Watch Series 8 will include a body temperature monitoring sensor. This feature is currently being tested in labs and will most likely be available in the Apple Watch Series 8 soon. Gurman also confirms rumours about a rugged edition Series 8 watch aimed at extreme sports athletes.

In terms of technology, we still don’t know how the heart rate monitoring feature on the Apple AirPods will work, and we have our doubts about its accuracy. However, the company may come up with a proper solution and will ensure the best possible accuracy because, after all, it is a premium brand and they will not risk tarnishing their brand image. The final product will reveal every detail of the feature and how it works.
