In June this year, PCI-SIG finalized the draft version of PCIe Gen7 (PCIe 7.0) v0.3. According to the design, its bandwidth is doubled again compared to PCIe 6.0, and the speed is increased from 64 GT/s to 128 GT/s. It also uses PAM4 modulation signaling, encoding mode is 1b/1b, backward compatible with all previous PCIe versions.
