Anthropic in July this year released a new Claude 2 large language model. Compared with the previous version, Claude 2 performance has been improved, support for uploading files, and can achieve a longer text response, in programming, math, reasoning and other aspects have been greatly improved.
Previously available only in the U.S. and U.K., Anthropic’s AI tool is now available globally (95 countries).

The new features of Claude 2 are said to be enhanced in the following ways:
Programming, math, and reasoning have improved over its predecessor: it scored 76.5% correct on the multiple-choice portion of the U.S. Bar Exam, compared to 70% on its predecessor, Claude 1.3; Claude 2 scored over 90% of recent graduates on the GRE reading and writing tests; and on the U.S. Physician's License Exam, it scored over 60% on all three subjects, which means that it scored over 60% on all three subjects. On the U.S. Physician's License Exam, Claude 2 scored over 60% in all 3 subjects, which is an "ALL PASS".
The length of input and output has increased significantly: users can now enter up to 100,000 tokens per prompt, meaning they can read hundreds of pages at a time. At the same time, Claude 2 can do all kinds of text work with thousands of tokens, such as writing memos, letters, and even stories.It’s worth noting that Claude supports Chinese, and Claude 2 also opens up the model to organizations through an API.

Anthropic is a San Francisco-based company founded by former OpenAI employees. Google has invested nearly $400 million in the company since the end of 2022, and Anthropic has now announced a formal partnership with Google Cloud. Anthropic’s flagship product, Claude, went live in February and is considered one of the main competitors to ChatGPT.
