The report also noted that more smartphone manufacturers are expected to offer satellite connectivity this year, but satellite connectivity has its own challenges, making it difficult to expand in other countries and incurring significant additional costs.
Additionally, curved screens will no longer be popular due to issues such as accidental touches and high maintenance and repair costs.

TechInsights also predicts there will be no “significant” smartphone innovations from Apple this year.
