Italian electric vehicle startup Aehra recently unveiled its second model, the Sedan, at the Milan Monza Motor Show. It’s a high-end luxury four-door coupe that sits on the same platform as the SUV that debuted last year, but is lower and sportier and is still in concept form.
The exterior design of the Sedan is very smooth and simple, with no door handles and double-wing doors that open upwards. The front and rear are sharp, and the light clusters use LED technology. There are also digital side mirrors on the sides for improved aerodynamic efficiency. The Sedan’s interior hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s rumored to feature an ultra-wide screen and high-tech instrument cluster.
Sedan is not only attractive in appearance but also in performance. According to officials, the car uses a custom battery solution jointly developed by Miba Battery Systems, with a target range of nearly 800 kilometers, which can meet the needs of long-distance driving. According to previous AutoCar reports, the car is equipped with a three-motor all-wheel drive system with a maximum power of 800 horsepower and a battery capacity of 120 kWh, which can provide supercar-like acceleration and handling. In addition, Sedan also uses lightweight and sustainable composite materials commonly used in supercars, including forged carbon fiber technology, which can reduce vehicle weight and improve efficiency and safety.
Aehra said it has secured sufficient private funding and plans to start delivering its Sedan and SUV to customers in North America and Europe in 2026 before entering China and the Gulf countries. The starting price of the Sedan is expected to be around US$170,000 and it will compete with high-end electric cars such as the Porsche Taycan Turbo. Aehra’s design director, Filippo Perini, a former Lamborghini designer who has worked on the Murcielago, Aventador, Huracan, Centenario, Urus and more, said the production version of the Sedan will be almost identical to the concept car.
