Adobe teased in April this year that the video editing tool Premiere Pro would introduce a number of AI features, and after a period of testing, an update was officially released over the weekend, introducing the ability to edit video through text.

This means that editors can edit video by modifying automatically generated video text transcripts, thus greatly improving editing efficiency and speed.
The text-edited video feature is based on Adobe Sensei machine learning technology, which is now used for automatic subtitle generation.
Users can identify different speakers, modify caption content and convert it to a different caption format, or convert closed captions to graphics for more fine-tuned open captions.
By editing video via text and simply modifying the voice-to-text text, users can sort and adjust the video directly on the timeline. Editors can arrange the subtitles in any order and the video clips will be automatically reordered on the timeline.
Videos are essentially converted into searchable transcripts that can be quickly edited by matching specific words and phrases to the video.
Improved support for wonderfully controlled mouse and iPhone
Adobe has also improved support for Apple’s trackpad and the Magic Mouse in the new version, making the overall interaction smoother.
