ADATA today announced the launch of its first USB4 transmission interface SE920 mobile SSD, while backwards compatible with USB 3.2 and USB 2.0, and support for Thunderbolt 3 & 4, read speeds of up to 3800 MB / s. The first USB4 interface SE920 mobile SSD was launched by ADATA on October 31, 2011, and is now available in the market.
In addition, the ADATA SE920 mobile SSD is equipped with a Type-C interface to support connectivity to mobile devices such as cell phones.
The SE920 mobile SSD features a pop-up enclosure with a built-in fan. Pressing the retractable enclosure activates the fan, which is claimed to be able to lower the temperature by 10% compared to fanless products of the same specification; pressing the enclosure again closes the body, making it lightweight and easy to carry around.
The ADATA SE920 is equipped with a USB4 transfer interface with a read/write speed of 3800/3200MB/s. Transferring 10GB of 4K video is claimed to take only about 3 seconds, and it supports connecting to different operating systems and computer platforms, such as Android, macOS, and Windows, and it can also be connected to a gaming console for use.
