Acer releases Shadow Knight Dragon 16/17 gaming Laptop: Riptide 7000 + RTX 40 graphics

Acer today announced the new Shadow Knight Dragon 16 and 17 gaming Laptops, equipped with 16-inch and 17.3-inch screens, respectively, equipped with AMD’s new generation of Riptide processors, and optional RTX 40 series graphics cards.

According to the report, the Shadow Knight Dragon 16 gaming Laptop features an upgraded 16-inch WUXGA or WQXGA screen with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz and support for 100% sRGB wide color gamut. The screen-to-body ratio is up to 84%. And with Nvidia RTX 40 series mobile graphics and support for Nvidia Advanced Optimus technology

The Acer Shadow Knight features the latest AMD Radeon 7000 series processor and Nvidia RTX 40 series mobile graphics; a 17.3-inch screen with an 81% screen-to-body ratio and a variety of options, including FHD screens with 144 Hz, 165 Hz refresh rate or 165 Hz refresh rate QHD screens.

Acer Shadow Knight Dragon Laptop can be equipped with up to 32 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz memory and 2 TB of M.2 SSD storage. Both notebooks feature dual fans with four strategically placed exhaust vents on the sides and rear of the chassis and an air intake on top for improved cooling with liquid metal cooling.

In addition, both AMD-powered Laptop offers a full range of connectivity options, including an HDMI 2.1 port, microSD card reader, USB 2.0, USB 4, Type C USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports for PD fast charging and video output, and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, one of which also supports power-off charging. All models have equipped with Lan E2600G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

Acer has not yet announced the MSRP or release date for the Shadow Knight Dragon.
