AAC Technologies releases SOPRANO, an ultra-small MEMS speaker for true wireless earphones

AAC Technology today announced the launch of a landmark innovative product — ultra-small MEMS speaker tweeter SOPRANO, package size of only 16.2mm ³, maybe the industry’s smallest MEMS speaker unit.

MEMS speaker tweeter SOPRANO is introduced as follows:

SOPRANO is based on PZT thin film piezoelectric technology, diaphragm and driver structure as a whole, using pure MEMS process preparation. In terms of acoustic performance, SOPRANO has excellent high-frequency band extensibility, can be easily expanded to more than 40kHz, in line with Hi-Res certification.

Officially, AAC SOPRANO perfectly fits the application requirements of TWS headphone scenarios in terms of product form, size, performance and reliability, providing TWS manufacturers with more flexibility and convenience in headphone design, stacking and assembly, and providing end-users with a higher quality audio experience.

In terms of performance, SOPRANO can easily achieve SPL≥100dB @ 6kHz~40kHz at 1Vrms driving voltage. This technological breakthrough means that there is no need for PA amplification, only with the existing TWS headphones Bluetooth chip direct drive, you can achieve a high-fidelity treble audio effect, greatly reducing the threshold for the application of new MEMS speaker technology.
