6GB of RAM basically confirmed for Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro Series

Source @URedditor yesterday exposed the iPhone 15 series A17 chip related details, today again broke the news of many details, Summary of scattered tweets is as follows:

Internal code name:

D83 - iPhone 15 Pro

D83 - iPhone 15 Pro Max (after netizens reminded that the code name is repeated)

D47 - iPhone 16

D48 - iPhone 16 Plus

D9x - iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max

First of all, to confirm the previous tweets, the two iPhone 15 Pro models and the two iPhone 16 standard models launched next year will use the A17 chip (t8130), while next year’s iPhone 16 Pro models will use the A18 chip (t8140).

It was previously reported that the A17 bionic chip will feature a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU. The current A16 bionic chip features a 6-core CPU and 5-core GPU, so that means the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have an extra GPU core. Additionally, the CPU on the A17 Bionic chip will have a clock speed of up to 3.70 GHz, up from 3.46 GHz on the A16 Bionic chip.

RAM:

In his tweet, he reconfirmed previous revelations, confirming that both iPhone 15 Pro models will feature 6GB of RAM.

iPhone 16 Pro screen:

The two iPhone 16 Pro models were estimated at 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, and the actual size was estimated at 6.28 inches and 6.87 inches.

The tipster’s point of view:

He believes that Apple usually restricts media reviews, and review media will sign a multi-page clause with Apple, so that if there are criticisms or doubts in the article, it needs to be reviewed by Apple before publishing.

His combined opinion is that the iPhone 15 series is rather mediocre, only replacing the USB-C port, and the actual experience should be worse than the iPhone 14 Pro series, and he would look forward to the 2024 model.
