Microsoft today notified users who are still running Win11 Version 21H2 that the version will be discontinued in 3 months, that is, on October 10, 2023 (EOS).
Microsoft released the Win11 21H2 update in October 2021, and now urges Home, Professional, Professional Education and Workstation Professional users to upgrade as soon as possible, and no longer push security updates after October 10 this year.
Microsoft part of the notice is as follows, after October 10, still running the version of the user can contact Microsoft after-sales, guide the device upgrade, install to the latest Win11 version.
Another notable thing is that Microsoft is taking mandatory steps to require Win11 21H2 devices to install the update and upgrade to the Win11 22H2 update.
“Enterprise devices running Win11 21H2 Home, Professional, and unmanaged states are automatically updated to 22H2 starting in January 2023,” Microsoft said in the Windows Release Runtime Status Dashboard.
