The 2024 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet has been released. This is the third generation product of the series after the original version in 2020 and a minor upgrade in 2022. It is worth mentioning that the tablet is currently only available on Samsung’s official website in Romania, and there has been no official press conference or any publicity.
The new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite follows the design of the previous model in appearance, equipped with a 10.4-inch LCD display (2000 x 1200 pixels, 15:9), S Pen stylus and a 7040mAh battery, providing both Wi-Fi and LTE Versions for users to choose.
In terms of core configuration, the biggest highlight of the new model is the use of a more powerful eight-core processor with clock frequencies of 2.4GHz and 2.0GHz, which are improved compared to the 2.3GHz and 1.8GHz of the previous generation. However, Samsung has not announced the specific model, and there is news that it may be the Exynos 1280 processor. In terms of storage, the new model still provides a 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version, and also supports microSD card expansion of storage space. A 128GB version will also be launched, but it is not yet available on Samsung’s official website.
In terms of system, the new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is pre-installed with the One UI 6.1 system based on Android 14, which is a big improvement compared to the previous generation of Android 12 and One UI 4.0 (can be upgraded to 6.0). Samsung officially claims that the tablet can provide up to 14 hours of video playback life and 12/13 hours of web browsing life (corresponding to LTE and Wi-Fi connections respectively). However, the charging speed has not been officially announced. The previously released Tab S6 Lite models only support 15W fast charging.
It is noticed that Samsung Romania’s official website currently only offers mint green and gray color options, both of which are 4GB RAM + 64GB storage versions. The initial price has not yet been announced. In addition, a pink color scheme appears in the product display picture, but it has not yet been found on the store page.
