The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron electric car is a beautiful facelift, introducing a new grille and redesigned headlights. Now Audi has also updated the fuel version of the Q8. The new car also uses slimmer headlights and a redesigned grille. The high-performance SQ8 also returns, still powered by a powerful 4.0-liter V8 powertrain.
It is noticed that the appearance of the 2024 Q8 has not changed much. The grille is more rounded than before and integrated with the headlights, similar to the integration of the grille and lights of the Q8 e-tron. The air intakes in the front bumper have also been enlarged, and all models are equipped with new exhaust systems. The SQ8 also gets a redesigned front lip and rear diffuser, and there’s aluminum trim on the grille, mirrors and air intakes. An optional package allows the window moldings, bumper moldings and grille to be painted in gloss black for a more dynamic look.
Audi has also modified the layout of the matrix LED headlights, and the Q8 can also choose high-tech laser headlights to increase the range of the high beam. It is worth mentioning that it is also equipped with four welcome modes, which can be set in the central control screen. The rear light bar of the new car also has a simpler appearance, and Audi’s digital OLED light unit can be optionally used. Like the electric e-tron models, the gas-powered Q8 now displays its model name and equipment level on the B-pillar. There are also five new wheel designs to choose from, ranging from 21 to 23 inches in diameter. The Q8 also gets three new exterior colors, Chili Red, Ascari Blue and Sakhir Gold.
The overall interior of the new Audi Q8 / SQ8 has not changed much. The new car will provide 9 decoration styles, including decoration materials, such as wax wood, aluminum cloth grain or wood grain, etc. Additionally, Audi has expanded the list of apps supported by its infotainment system to include third-party apps like Spotify and more.
In terms of power, the new Audi Q8 will be equipped with a 3.0T engine + 48V motor, with a maximum power of 335 horsepower and a maximum torque of 500 Nm; the new Audi SQ8 will be equipped with a 4.0T V8 engine with a maximum power of 500 horsepower and a maximum torque of 770 Nm . The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed gearbox and equipped with a four-wheel drive system. The acceleration of the new Q80-100km/h takes 5.6 seconds, while the acceleration of the new SQ8 from 0-100km/h only takes 4.1 seconds. The SQ8 also offers a torque-vectoring rear differential and active anti-roll bars. The Q8 still comes standard with steel spring suspension, but buyers still have the option of adaptive air suspension and can have optional rear-wheel steering, while the SQ8 comes standard with air springs, adaptive dampers, and rear-wheel steering.
The 2024 Q8 will go on sale in the United States this winter, with specific pricing to be announced soon.
