According to the latest report published by market research firm Counterpoint Research, 1 quarter of 2023 global smartwatch shipments fell 1.5% year-on-year in the context of the Indian market grew 121% year-on-year.

Apple's global shipments fell 20% year-over-year in Q1 2023. This is the first time in three years that its Q1 shipments fell below 10 million units. Apple's market share fell to 26 percent, down from 32 percent in Q1 2022.
Indian brand Fire-Boltt overtook Samsung for the first time to rank second in the global market. Its shipments grew about threefold compared to the previous year and 57 percent compared to the previous quarter.
Samsung's shipments grew 15 percent in key markets such as North America, but declined in all other markets. Its overall global shipments were down 15 percent year-over-year and 21 percent sequentially.
Huawei was the most influential Chinese OEM, with shipments in China down 14 percent year-over-year, though shipments in India, Latin America and the Middle East and Africa increased, limiting the overall decline in its global shipments to 9 percent.
In terms of regional markets, India overtook North America to regain its position as the top region with a 27 percent share of global smartwatch shipments.
