The annual Camera GP Awards recently officially announced the list of winners for 2023. Among them, the “User Choice Award” voted by the readers, the three most vocal brands Sony, Canon and Nikon all failed, Panasonic LUMIX S5 II became the biggest dark horse will be in the bag.

The S5 II has a 6.5 level five-axis stabilization, which supports both body stabilization and lens stabilization. The Panasonic S5 II is the first time in 15 years that Panasonic has entered the mirrorless camera market with phase focus technology and support for V-Log and V-Gamut video recording, features that could only be seen on Panasonic professional camcorders in the past.
The company’s first-ever GP Award was announced in 2009.
In addition, the jury of professional photographers awarded the Sony a7R V as the “Best Camera” and the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 90mm F3.5 Macro IS PRO as the best lens of the year. Three products were shortlisted for the Best R&D award, including the Leica M6, Canon EOS R50 and the Prograde Digital CFexpress Type B GOLD 512GB memory card.
