The 16GB version of the Xperia 5 V was revealed a few days ago, and considering that the existing Xperia 5 IV only comes with 8GB of RAM, many users have questioned the authenticity.
In its latest report, foreign tech media NotebookCheck believes that the 16GB Xperia 5 V is probably a fake. The 12GB version of the Xperia 5 V was found on GeekBench 6, also with the model number “XQ-CQ72”.

This GeekBench running score does not show that the memory capacity has doubled, but the XQ-CQ72 information shows 10.93GB, which means that there is a 12GB version of the Xperia 5 V.
According to the GeekBench running score library information, the 12GB version of the Xperia 5 V has a single-core score of 1946 points and a multi-core score of 5056 points; while the 8GB version of the Xperia 5 V has a single-core score of 1610 points and a multi-core score of 3536 points.
