Previously, a source from Ningde Times confirmed that RISO’s new energy vehicles will be equipped with Kirin batteries. In addition, Nezha Auto sources also revealed that Nezha Auto is negotiating with Ningde Times to use Kirin batteries.
It is understood that thanks to the world’s first large surface cooling technology of battery cells, the Kirin battery supports a 5-minute fast hot start and 10-minute fast charging. With the same chemical system and the same pack size, the Kirin battery pack has 13% more power compared to the 4680 system.
Safety-wise, the Kirin battery consists of an integrated energy cell with a multi-functional elastic sandwich. It builds a more stable force structure perpendicular to the direction of travel to improve the structural strength and impact resistance of the battery pack.
It is worth mentioning that Zeng Yuqun also revealed in today’s speech that in terms of R&D expenses, every year Ningde Times takes out 6-7% of its revenue to invest in R&D, and has invested 7.7 billion in 2021, with an R&D team of over 10,000 people.
