Today, industry insider Ross Young has revealed that all iPhone 15 models will come with the Dynamic Island, and Apple Hub has drawn up renders of the iPhone 15 series based on Ross Young’s revelations. Industry speculation is that the iPhone 15 series will continue the 14 series product line layout with four models – 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Ultra. All four models will feature a dual punch screen design, officially saying goodbye to the bangs.
Ross Young also revealed that Apple will still widen the gap between the iPhone 15 and Pro versions, with the 15 and 15 Plus still having a 60Hz refresh rate and the Pro Motion and rest screen display only available on the Pro and Ultra versions.
It’s worth noting that the iPhone 15 series will come standard with the Dynamic Island feature found on the 14 Pro series. It modifies the notification system into an almost on-call pop-up notification system that is automatically superimposed on top of the interface layer and can be small or large, modal or non-modal.
The vast majority of the time, the Dynamic Island elongates to either side as a base status display, building up a typically non-modal alert box with icons and data: the Airpods Pro’s battery level, for example.
Luo previously said that the island was very clever, and he gave Apple’s UI designers and product classics credit, but it was also because Apple’s industrial design has been so bad over the years that it forced UI designers to hold back on their evil tricks.
